This month, our SaGa26 Consulting team sat down with one of our valued team members, Dalton Tompkins for a lightning round of questions about his experience, future, and goals. Dalton has proved to be an incredible team member, leader, seller, and overall presence in the office. We are thrilled to work with him each and every day and are excited to share his greatness with the world.
Where are you from?
“I was born in El Paso, Texas, but I grew up in Hugoton, Kansas.”
What were you like as a kid? How would your parents have described you?
“I was a social and athletic kid. I was very outgoing and friends with everyone.
Were you in any sports or extracurriculars?
“I am proud to have been Student Council President. I played football, basketball, baseball, track and field, and golf. I was a very active kid.”
How did that competitive environment help develop you?
“All of that involvement made me mentally tough, and strong-willed to be successful.”
Did you have any idea you would end up in this field?
“I had no clue, but I was totally ready to seize the opportunity.”
Tell us about your college experience.
“I attended Stephen F. Austin State University. I was an Intramural Champion and worked as a referee and official.”
What is one life experience that you feel has shaped you?
“Having children completely changed my life.”
What is something we might not know about you by just looking at you?
“I can solve a Rubik’s cube in 5 minutes.”
When did you start with the company?
“I joined the team on December 7th, 2018.”
What were your first thoughts when starting with the company?
“I was totally attracted to the fun and positive environment and atmosphere. It seemed like a good spot to be in.”
What is something you’ve learned through your work you didn’t know before?
“I have found that I’m more confident than I gave myself credit for originally.”
How has this career changed you as a person?
“It has made me hungrier to be successful in life.”
What are your goals with the company?
“Ultimately, my goal is to get promoted out to my own office.”
Do you have any mentors inside/outside of work?
“Bradley Puckett and Jai Thames.”
What do you do for fun when you’re not working?
“I play sports, go to concerts, hang out with my wife, and play with my kids.”
